Enrich a child's life by learning to share the joy of music. This class is the nonprofit Music for Minors II's music docent training program which teaches the elements of music through active participation of singing/signing songs, rhythmic movement/dance, and playing simple instruments in elementary school classrooms. The class is designed for parents, grandparents, retired teachers, musicians, and other community members interested in volunteering 1/2 hr. each week in a pre-school or elementary school classroom upon completion of the training class. Additional hours are required at your convenience at school sites for the training class. All materials are provided freely by MFMII with free access to resource centers and a network of dedicated docents and staff. Performance opportunities for students also provided. Castro Valley Parent Nursery school is a co-operative preschool that runs under the direction of a professional director. The purpose of the preschool is to assist families in the tasks of parenthood and to improve parenting skills in an environment that fosters cooperation, friendship and community involvement.
