Program
The CNA/HHA program provides 210 hours of classroom theory and clinical training to successfully prepare students for entry-level employment and California State Certification. Emphasis is placed on basic principles of nursing, and the development and direct application of nursing skills in long term and acute care facilities. The demand for CNA/HHA, especially those who are bi-lingual, is rising due to the increased number of elderly requiring care. As a result, it is estimated that over 15,000 CNA/HHA jobs will be created in California beyond the year 2005. A mandatory orientation will be held prior to registration in the CNA program.
Orientation dates are Saturday, April 19, 2008, 9:30-11:30am or Wednesday, April 30, 2008, 6:30-8:30 pm.
