Spanish for Work & Travel II

In this continuation course, students will continue with the beginning fundamentals of the Spanish language, including pronunciation, basic vocabulary, and grammar. Emphasis will be placed on simple conversational situations.

The students will be given the opportunity to learn to use Spanish at work, make travel plans, talk about outdoor activities, express preferences, watch movies and describe office and household chores.

Note(s): Registrants will be emailed a link to the live Zoom presentation on the day of the event Textbook Required: See book list Instructor Bio: Emilce Olroyd was born and raised in Colombia in a little village northeast of Bogota. 22 years ago, she and her daughter moved to the United States. Speaking very little English, she decided to go to school to learn the language. There, she realized she had a passion for teaching and decided to become a Spanish teacher. Emilce has been teaching Spanish to both children and adults in the Bay Area for 16 years. She served for ten years as the Director of a Spanish Enrichment Program for 310 elementary school students. She continues to educate about the Hispanic culture and traditions at a private East Bay school. Her hobbies include traveling and learning about other cultures.
