Spanish for Work & Travel II

In this course, students will continue with the beginning fundamentals of the Spanish language, including pronunciation, and basic vocabulary and grammar. Emphasis will be placed on simple conversational situations.

The students will be given the opportunity to learn to use Spanish at work, make travel plans, talk about outdoor activities, express preferences, watch movies and describe office and household chores.

Note(s): Students will receive a Zoom invitation link before the first class.

All classes are utilizing distance learning via the internet on Zoom. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, in-person classroom instruction is not available. When on-campus instruction becomes available and is safe for students and teachers, we will modify accordingly.
Textbook Required: See book list No Class: 2/16 Instructor Bio: Emilce Olroyd was born and raised in Colombia. Twenty two years ago, she and her daughter moved to the United States. Emilce has been teaching Spanish to both children and adults in the Bay Area for 16 years. She served as the Director of a Spanish Enrichment Program for 310 elementary school students and continues to educate about the Hispanic culture and traditions at a private East Bay school. Her hobbies include traveling and learning about other cultures.
