Spanish For Work & Travel - Advanced

Students will continue to learn more advanced grammar skills including past and future verb tenses, while practicing conversation on a wide variety of topics. The class emphasizes communication skills for work, shopping or travel.

Prerequisite(s): Satisfactory completion of Spanish Level III IV, V, or permission of the instructor. Textbook Required: See book list Instructor Bio: Emilce Olroyd was born and raised in Colombia in a little village northeast of Bogota. 22 years ago, she and her daughter moved to the United States. Speaking very little English, she decided to go to school to learn the language. There, she realized she had a passion for teaching and decided to become a Spanish teacher. Emilce has been teaching Spanish to both children and adults in the Bay Area for 16 years. She served for ten years as the Director of a Spanish Enrichment Program for 310 elementary school students. She continues to educate about the Hispanic culture and traditions at a private East Bay school. Her hobbies include traveling and learning about other cultures.
