Italian Intermediate I

Italian Intermediate l is recommended for students who have attended the beginner level classes. We will continue the work already done with the book, Nuovo Espresso, using Volume Two.

Using a direct and conversational approach, students will review and deepen already encountered subjects, such as pronouns, some prepositions and passato prossimo tense, and will also learn new verb tenses such as imperativo and imperfetto as well the grades of adjectives.

Prerequisite(s): Students should have a good understanding of greetings, articles, adjectives, and nouns. Also, a good understanding of present and passato prossimo tense of Italian verbs at a beginner level. Textbook Required: See book list No Class: 4/24 Instructor Bio: Born and raised in North Eastern Italy, Francesca Lorenzon completed her studies at the University of Trieste earning a Master’s Degree with Honors in Modern Languages and Literature. She moved to the Bay Area with her family in 2011. In California she discovered her passion for teaching Italian language and culture, at first on a volunteer basis and then as a profession. She loves to read, cook and travel.
