Beyond the beginner level? Join us and continue developing your conversation skills. You will improve your listening and speaking skills. You will have fun engaging and collaborating with peers, and will learn to communicate in many situations, using present, past and future tenses.

In this continuation course, students will continue with the beginning fundamentals of the Spanish language, including pronunciation, basic vocabulary, and grammar. Emphasis will be placed on simple conversational situations.

This class continues to increase vocabulary and build upon grammar concepts. The class emphasizes workplace communication by helping students gain a solid foundation in grammar, writing, and conversation.

Upon completing this class you will have learned to conjugate irregular and reflexive verbs in the present tense and will have been introduced to the usage of verbs in the past tense. Your conversation and reading abilities will have improved substantially.

Do you want to learn to speak Spanish for work or travel but don’t know where to begin? Did you take Spanish in high school but have forgotten most of what you learned? This fun entry-level class will get you started. If you have never tried Spanish before, this class is for you.

This class is for students who have already taken the Basic Italian class or its equivalent, or have instructor approval. If you have no experience with Italian, please register for Basic Italian in the Fall quarter. This course focuses on developing conversation skills at a beginner level, for students who already have a basic knowledge of the fundamentals of the language.
