First Aid Class (American Heart Assoc.)

The American Heart Association First Aid class is designed to give you the confidence to respond in an emergency situation with skills that can save a life. This 5-hour course provides complete first aid and safety skills, equipping individuals to recognize and provide basic first aid care for injuries and sudden illnesses.

You will learn how to identify and care for a variety of medical emergencies, including severe bleeding, shock, musculoskeletal injuries and other sudden illnesses, as well as how to reduce the risk of disease transmission while providing care. Course meets OSHA standard for first aid.

Limited to 18 students. Bring your own snack for break time.

Textbook: A classroom set of textbooks is available for in-class use only. Students who wish to purchase their own textbook may do so. Copies available for purchase at CVACE office. CPR and First Aid use same textbook.
