The American Heart Association First Aid class is designed to give you the confidence to respond in an emergency situation with skills that can save a life.This 5-hour course provides complete first aid and safety skills, equipping individuals to recognize and provide basic first aid care for injuries and sudden illnesses. You will learn how to identify and care for a variety of medical emergencies, including severe bleeding, shock, musculoskeletal injuries and other sudden illnesses, as well as how to reduce the risk of disease transmission while providing care. Course meets OSHA standard for first aid. Limited to 18 students. Bring your own snack for break time. Additional Information: CVUSD employees are not required to purchase a CPR card for District employment. This 3-hour renewal course is required for existing Notaries Public who are renewing their commission. The renewal course and exam must be taken prior to the expiration of your current commission. If your existing commission expires prior to taking the course and exam, then the full “Become a Notary Public” course is required.

This class is for adults who are proficient in sight reading and enjoy playing the big band sounds of the 1930’s and ‘40’s. The musical library of over 600 arrangements are for two Alto, two Tenor, and Baritone Saxophones, four Trumpets, four Trombones, Piano, String Bass, Guitar and Drums. Altos and Tenors who double on Clarinet or Flute are a plus.

This winter’s session will be focused on themes such as molt sequences in orders of birds, mechanisms and characteristics of feathers, including refraction and iridescence, and special functions. In anticipation of spring, we will examine causes and complications of bird migration.
Come play great music! The Orchestra will perform three concerts during the year, provide outreach to enthuse students in music, and build community support for the performing arts. If you are an intermediate to advanced player, the Orchestra will be a fulfilling musical experience and a fun way to bring great music to the community.
Are you keyboarding at a proficient level but want to increase your speed and accuracy? This course is for the student who has a knowledge of the alphabetic and numerical keyboard at 40 w.p.m. or has taken the Beginning Keyboarding class but wants additional practice hours.
