Medical Administrative Specialist Program

This program will prepare students for entry-level administrative work in the growing field of healthcare, by providing instruction and skill development in the daily operations of a medical office. Students will develop front office customer service skills such as: greeting patients, scheduling appointments, telephone management, and drafting correspondence. Students will also develop basic skills in billing (healthcare insurance processing), coding, medical records management, medical law and ethics, and career development.

Must attend ONE of the following FREE orientations prior to registration:

For Spring 2019:

  • Thursday, February 21 | 6pm - 9pm | Room 10
  • Saturday, February 23 | 9am - 12pm | Room 10
  • Tuesday, February 26 | 6pm - 9pm | Room 10

If interested in CMA/MAS, you will take a reading and math assessment. Upon successful completion, you will receive a registration appointment. If you are interested in any of our other medical courses beginning this spring, we will be covering this information during the first hour of orientation.
