This program will prepare students for entry-level skills needed to work in the front office of a healthcare facility, by providing instruction and skill development in the daily operations of a medical office. Students will learn front office skills such as: managing the Electronic Healthcare Record (EHR), introduction to health insurance, introduction to billing, reimbursement & account collections, healthcare law & ethics, telephone management (scheduling appointments), medical terminology basics, anatomy & physiology basics, and soft skills for success (e.g. professionalism, communication, career-building). This program prepares you for the State and National AMA examinations.
