Clinical Medical Assistant Program (Hybrid)

Become a Clinical Medical Assistant in the growing and demanding area of healthcare! This comprehensive, hands-on program will prepare you to take the state or national CMA examination, test prep included. Students will learn to perform clinical procedures including vital signs, preparing and administering injections, drawing blood, collecting specimens, taking electrocardiograms, recording and charting patient history, learning the practical applications of Electronic Health Records, preparing patients for x-rays and examinations, applying bandages and dressings, learning medical terminology and career development. This course now includes medical administrative online training.

A mandatory medical programs orientation will be on March 10.
This orientation will be done remotely. Once you register, more information will be sent to you with the details.

Prerequisite(s): Students must have earned high school diploma or GED. Students must attend orientation. Students must have basic computer and keyboard skills and regular access to a computer and internet in order to work within the online learning platform. As a prerequisite for Clinical Medical Assistant, students must complete and pass “Core Skills for the Healthcare Professional”. Note(s): This course is a blend of distance learning and in-class skills. Upon successful completion of this course, the student will earn a competency-based certificate.
