Introduction to Infectious Diseases

This course provides you with the information you need to understand the characteristics of several prominent infectious diseases.

Students will be able to:

  • identify diseases from around the world
  • identify disease terminology
  • identify various methods of infectious disease transmission
  • understand methods and practices in the prevention of infectious disease

This is a distance learning course with live online lectures. Students need to have access to the internet and computer (preferably one with camera, although not required) and must set up a Gmail account. Students will be invited to register for Canvas by instructor before the first day of class.
