Begin your nursing career by earning two certifications in one course: Certified Nursing Assistant and Home Health Aide. In our fully equipped classroom, this State-approved course prepares you with basic principles of nursing theory, combined with hands-on skills, clinical observations, and training in local nursing facilities. Upon successful completion State certification exams will be given on school site. This course meets the CNA requirement for university registered nursing programs. A mandatory orientation will be held prior to registration in the CNA program.
Orientation dates are or Thursday, May 27, 6:00-8:00 pm. Saturday, June 12, 9:30-11:30 am
Spring Quarter (Registration fee includes textbooks, fingerprints, and CVACE ID badge)

"Tor Punjaban Di II-The West Coast Giddha Competition"

On May 22, 2010 the Castro Valley Center for the Arts will host Tor Punjaban Di II, the 2nd Annual West Coast's Giddha Competition. With teams from across the United States and throughout California this competition is the first of its kind and is an opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate the beauty and spirit of the Punjabi culture and the rich tradition of Giddha - the traditional dance of the females of Punjab. Also on showcase will be energetic performances from several Bhangra teams from throughout the Bay Area, CA.
