Arthritis Aquatics Program
Relieve arthritis pain with the use of buoyancy
from water and the relaxing warmth of a heated
pool. This combination creates an excellent environment
for decreasing arthritic pain and stiffness.
Gentle movements utilized in this program
help to improve flexibility and increase joint
motion, while restoring or maintaining muscle
strength. Please bring a bathing suit and towel.
Aquatic Instructors are trained and certified by
the Arthritis Foundation. The exercises prescribed scribed
meet the requirements as outlined by the
Arthritis Foundation. Classes purchased through
the Castro Valley Adult and Career Education do
not have to be used sequentially, but must be used
during the quarter purchased. Once the initial 8
classes are completed, students may purchase
additional sessions through CVAS.
