About our Culinary Instructors:


Anne Kenney


Anne is a Pastry Chef and Baker born and raised in Michigan, came to California and has studied and worked in the culinary arts field for 23 years. Anne was classically trained in pastry work at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in San Francisco, Sheraton Place Hotel and the Marc Hopkins Hotel where she did her Pastry Chef apprenticeship.


Linda Whalen


Linda comes from a long line of great home cooks as well as restaurateurs from San Francisco to Lake Tahoe. Working for Bay Area catering companies as an event coordinator and in the kitchen, at private and commercial venues and events has taught her the many nuances of creating bountiful, delicious meals utilizing fresh produce, herbs, domestic and wild meat, fish and poultry our region is known for. She has shared her skills with family and friends and looks forward to sharing with you as well.


Mary Lou Groff

Mary is an award-winning cake decorator who has taught this skill for over 18 years. She recently retired as head decorator at the well known Merritt Restaurant and Bakery in Oakland.
