Novel in a Month

Have you ever considered writing a novel? Is there a story in you itching to be told? This class is perfect for you! Our first classes will be dedicated to brainstorming, developing, plotting, and preparation. With the guidance of an experienced instructor and peer encouragement, we will build new worlds, create intriguing characters, and structure plots that keep the story moving.

Throughout November, together we each put meat on the bones of our outlines. At the end of November, the goal is to have a fifty thousand word novel that you can submit to the writing challenge at Put it in a drawer, or the trash... or keep it, edit it, polish it, and submit it for publication.

Instructor: Missy Kirtley has been writing for as long as she has been able to hold a pencil. She has penned plays, screenplays and short stories. After writing several novels over the past few years and exploring self- publishing, she wants to share what she’s learned.
