This new class is the natural continuation of Beginning Italian, Level I. As we continue studying the Italian language and culture at a basic level, you will further develop your understanding of elementary Italian grammatical structures such as articles, nouns, adjectives, possessive adjectives, prepositions, and pronouns.

In this course, students will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the beautiful Italian language and culture at the basic level. You will study elementary Italian structures (pronunciation, gender, numbers, articles, nouns, adjectives, present verb tenses, numbers, some prepositions, how to make a question, positive and negative statements) and active vocabulary based on oral and written pattern drills.

This class continues to increase vocabulary and build upon grammar concepts. The class emphasizes workplace communication by helping students gain a solid foundation in grammar, writing, and conversation.

Students will continue to learn more advanced grammar skills including past and future verb tenses, while practicing conversation on a wide variety of topics. The class emphasizes communication skills for work, shopping or travel.

In this course, students will have the opportunity to use Spanish at work, make travel plans, talk about outdoor activities, express preferences and describe office duties.

Do you want to learn to speak Spanish for work or travel but don’t know where to begin? Did you take Spanish in high school but have forgotten most of what you learned? This fun entry-level class will get you started, even if you have never tried Spanish before.
