New Voters Find Help Online In Ten Languages
Voting is one of the most important things we do as citizens in a democracy. As California's chief elections officer, Secretary of State Debra Bowen encourages every eligible citizen to register to vote and participate in elections. To help meet the needs of new citizens and others who prefer to receive their elections materials in Spanish, Chinese, Hindi, Japanese, Khmer, Korean, Tagalog, Thai or Vietnamese, the Secretary offers online voter registration RegisterToVote.ca.gov and a set of ten "New Voters" web pages in all these languages, plus English.
To find tips on what to bring with you when you go to vote, instructions on how to vote by mail, and other useful voter information, visit the "New Voters" page at www.sos.ca.gov/elections/new-voter/ or call the Secretary of State's Voter Hotline: (800) 345-VOTE (8683).
